October 2002 - Part I

I visited Fishers to pick up some bits and bobs and try out some seats.

Couldn't even sit in the full height bucket seat - the shoulder gripping parts are so tight that I could hardly push my back against the seat. They do flex but still uncomfortable. They'd be fine for small occasional use, i.e. for racing.

As this is being built for the road I guess the answer is to find a good compromise of lateral grip and comfort. I don't fancy one of those expanding foam jobbies - they look awful - I also want a matching passenger seat so it's got to be able to fit others with some degree of comfort.

Here's a car which has both full height and half height seats Hmmm.... orange - I like this colour, could be on the cards...
