MooSPEED IV - Build Diary December 2002 - Part I I've got a new handbrake now from Fishers - still very stiff but at least it's vaguely usable now. Luckily it won't take much to hold the lightweight car but SVA-man will submit it to the same test as a fat old Merc. I've had to bend the Fisher-made bracket to stop it fouling the lower chassis bar, just hope there's enough clearance for the propshaft now. I'll also need to drill a new hole as the mounting point is about 2 cm's away from the original brake's mounts - nothing ever fits properly. For anyone thinking that building a car is like a big meccano set - forget it !! No interesting pictures on mine
just yet but here's some of a friend's car that he's just starting. Now
that looks familiar... He's obviously been bitten by the
"bec" bug. Although I do have some reservations... he's been
reading LAX-Power recently and wants to kit out his Busa-engine Fury with
17" rims Obviously a man of good taste, he's gone for a chassis in tango colour - take note of the additional side bars and welded in rollbar, bit different from the norm...
