Brooklands BEC Trackday From April's Brooklands BEC-trackday; This was a trackday organised by
the BEC list collective, track surface was very lumpy and possibly more
suited to 4x4's but a good time was had by all. This day certainly helped to take MooSpeed in the direction of bike-engined cars for project number 4. I had a trip in the orange Westfield of Ed Cane and was my first bec experience. I was prepared for the acceleration
which was, as expected, truly phenomenal. What I wasn't prepared for was
the braking and cornering forces From November's Brooklands BEC-trackday; Distinct difference between this and the
last Brooklands day, and not the fact that at this one I froze my bits
off. The main difference is that before I was
wondering how the hell you could fit a superbike engine in a car and now
the ponderings were all along the lines of "how long is that bracket
?", "where does that hose go ?" and "ah - so that's
where that bit is supposed to go"
