The Calibra Turbo, a decently fast car, 0-60mph in less than six seconds, a well-proven engine but the car is well...not really the cutting edge in terms of driving experience.

Now, take the mini (old shape please) - a known quantity within the world of MooSpeed and here's an idea

Take aformentioned Calibra Turbo, throw away the car and keep the engine. Place engine into a....Mini Simple.

• Body - Austin Mini Saloon, FWD, Multi-point welded rollcage.

• Chassis / Subframe - AMT frame designed and built for Vauxhall XE engine and gearbox to fit in a Mini

• Engine - Vauxhall XE 16v, 1998cc, from Calibra Turbo. No turbo fitted, yet.... :¬)

• Gearbox - Vauxhall F20 gearbox, 5 speed, close ratio

• Fuel System - Weber DCOE 45's

• Cooling System - Rear mounted rad with air channels through rear wings, exit through vented bootlid
  Now front mounted radiator. Lord knows how, there's a flippin great engine in there as well !!
